zOMG! Party!

zOMG! Party! is an initiative started by ash and SHLY to promote an innovative music culture as well as lifestyle, mainly within the rather large Asian community in Melbourne.

Music has no boundaries. Henceforth, when they are behind the decks, expect nothing but the best mash-up of a variety of genres. They were the originals to introduce the Mash-up scene to the Melbourne Asian community and continue to lead the way in this scene.

Treat this as your online-zine, blog, toilet-newspaper whatsoever, but do check back daily as we update quite frequently.

We love to collaborate.

Ongoing/Past Collabs:

Parties: Velvet @ Seven Nightclub & Be @ Bass Lounge

a little story about ash / SHLY

Mix and match your clothes well, them Carson Kressley’s compliments will come at you. Mash them potatoes well, you will leave a lingering taste for more.

One fine morning, puberty arrived. ash was no longer stuck with one boring sound. SHLY appeared and wanted to crash the party. Henceforth, ash / SHLY does not do labels. Think eclecticism in sounds that will make you disco.

Innovation is their motivation.

Influenced and inspired by a mix of juggernauts such as Daft Punk, DJ AM, A-Trak, Steve Aoki, Crookers, MSTRKRFT and DJ Fashen, ash / SHLY have developed an underground cult following in the Melbourne scene. Although still in the early stages of development, they have already gone to grace both Malaysia and Singapore.

Their shows are simple. Just turn up, have fun, scream, jump and be silly.

Now, the question is, do you want a Hollywood party?

The battle of the alter-egos continues...

ash & SHLY can be found dj-ing every Friday in the famed Velvet's SDRM at Seven Nightclub and every Saturday at Be @ Bass Lounge in Melbourne
